Pianist Nina Presicek began her musical path in Radovljica, before being accepted into professor Herald Wagner’s class for gifted children in Stuttgart (Germany). At eighteen years old she began her studies at the Hochschule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, with professor Wolfgang Bloser, where she graduated in 2000 and thereafter also completed her postgraduate studies in 2003. At the same time she also completed her postgraduate studies in Toulouse (France) at the “Perfectionement” department of the National Conservatory in the class of professor Therese Dussaut.
In the time of her studies she won scholarships from the Zois Fund of the Republic of Slovenia and then, for a year more, she received a scholarship from the Rotary Club, as well as a two year scholarship from the Ministry of Culture.
She perfected her skills further in the master classes under the guidance of professors Jurg Demus (Vienna), Arb Valdmi (Cologne) and John Perry (Los Ange-les). Currently she is working under the mentorship of Dominique Merlet from Paris.
During her studies she received several awards at various competitions, like for example in 2001, when she was awarded the 3eme Grand Prix at the Pierre Lantier International Chamber Music Competition, and also won second place at the Federal Competition in Germany.
As a soloist and chamber musician she regularly works in Germany, France, Slovenia and elsewhere.
Her more important concerts include: solo recital in the Great Hall of Slovenska filharmonija, five recitals in conjunction with GMD-oder Musical Youth of Slovenia, recital in Studio 14 at RTV Slovenija, concert in the Czech Rudolfinium (Prague), concert with the Stuttgart Youth Orchestra, tour across Africa (Eritrea) with the Anian Trio.
She has also participated in the World Saxophone Congress in Montreal (Canada) and Minneapolis (USA), where she performed several debuts of works by Slovenian composers. She also participated in the Night of Slovenian Composers and with the Aventure Ensemble at the Festival of Contemporary Music in Freiburg (Germany).
During the summer of 2003 she gave performances at five piano recitals in Brasil (Rio de Janeiro), where she has been invited to also in the following year. In September 2003 she made an appearance as a member of the Slavko Osterc Trio at Warsaw Autumn and performed at the Concert Studio for the Association of Slovenian Composers. She also performed with the Slavko Osterc Trio at the World Music Days in Ljubljana.
She collaborated in recording the CD to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Uros Krek. |
